It was originally a 1958 Chevy van with a Gerstenlager body built as a rural mail delivery van. I pulled it out of a pasture in Nebraska a few years ago. I pulled the body off and put it on a 1999 2wd Chevy Tahoe chassis, and put in a 2005 Chevy 5.3 motor with 4l60e transmission. It’s lowered with a Crown suspension kit and US Steel wheels.
Planning to repaint the upper white portion but leave the lower paint as is. Working on insulation and sound deadening for the interior then wood floor and leather panel walls. A/C hopefully before next summer, plus a cam + tune on the motor.
